Early life
Larry Elder was born on April 27th, 1952 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He spent his childhood growing up in Pico-Union and in the South Central. Elder’s father, Randolph has served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. His family moved to California during the second Great Depression.
Larry lost his father in 2011, and was raised by his mother, Viola, and his two brothers. His mother had served as secretary of the U.S. Army during World War II.
To study, he joined Crenshaw High School, where he graduated in 1970. He then studied at Brown University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University in 1974. In 1977, he received a J. D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

The elder began working for the Cleveland law firm, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey after graduating. Then, he founded a law firm of law enforcement, Laurence A. Elder and Associates in 1980. He worked for the company until 1987. Although he resigned from the company, he remained the owner until 1995.
Larry began co-hosting a theme TV program, Fabric in 1988. The TV program was broadcast on PBS member station, WVIZ. He then worked as the manager of a PBS program called National Desk in 1997. Between 2000 and 2001, he worked for a special KCAL-TV News program “Making Waves- LAUSD”. She won the Los Angeles Area Emmy Award in 2000 for her unique work on KCAL-TV.
The elder became famous after he started hosting an integrated talk show called “The Larry Elder Show” in 2004. The interview program was broadcast by Warner Bros. Larry also gained notoriety for managing other radio programs. He hosted a mid-week evening talk show on the radio station, KABC in 1994.

Larry Elder’s current relationship is considered single. Recently, she was accused of domestic violence by her ex-boyfriend, Alexandra Datig. According to him, Larry pulled out a weapon while they were threatening to break up. He said Larry checked to see if his gun was full before turning his shotgun on himself.
Following the trial, the Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into Larry Elder. Although, he clearly denies the allegations. Larry wrote in his latest statement “I have never shot anyone.”
