A few days after starting September with great news, Niantic announces more news for Pokémon GO trainers around the world. Season 3 of the GO Fighting League will come to an end and Season 4 will begin on September 14.
This will follow the same rotation of Season 3, as can be seen in the following calendar, with a novelty, the inclusion of the Halloween Cup that will only allow certain Pokémon to battle.

GO Fighting League Season 4 Dates and Times
-The Super League will run from Monday, September 14, 2020 at 3.00 pm to Monday, September 28, 2020 at 3.00 pm
-The Ultra League and its Premier Cup will take place from Monday, September 28, 2020 at 3.00 pm to Monday, October 12, 2020 at 3.00 pm
-The Master League and its Premier Cup will take place from Monday, October 12, 2020 at 3.00 pm to Monday, October 26, 2020 at 3.00 pm
-The new Halloween Cup will take place from Monday, October 26, 2020 at 3.00 pm until Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 3.00 pm
-The three leagues and the Premier Cup (without PC limit) will be available from Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 3.00 pm to Monday, November 9, 2020 at 3.00 pm
-Season 5 will begin on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 3.00 pm

What will the Halloween Cup be like?
The new Halloween Cup will run from Monday, October 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. to Monday, November 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. In this format, only Poison, Ghost, Bug, Sinister and Fairy type Pokémon will be allowed. Additionally, you can earn rewards such as encounters with Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, all in Halloween costumes. The Halloween Cup will be capped at 1,500 PC.
What will stay the same in Season 4?
-You will not have to travel a mandatory distance to participate in the GO Fighting League .
-The friendship level requirement to fight remotely will remain the same as until now during Season 4. Remember that you can scan the QR code of another trainer to fight him / her, no matter where they are.
-Avatar items inspired by Pikachu Libre will continue to be rank 7 rewards.
-Blue inspired avatar items from Pokémon console games will continue to be rank 10 rewards.
-Rewards will remain the same as in Season 3. As a reminder, the Pokémon encounters are as follows:
Pidgeot from rank 1
Galar’s Zigzagoon starting at Rank 4
Galar’s Farfetch’d would start at Rank 7
Rufflet from rank 8
Scraggy from rank 9

What’s new in Season 4?
Some major changes are coming to the GO Fighting League in Pokémon GO Season 4 :
-The progression of the ranks will change in Season 4. You will be able to reach rank 2 after playing a certain number of fights, and to advance from rank 3 to rank 9 you will have to win another determined number of fights. You will still need to reach a score of 3,000 to reach Rank 10, just like in previous GO Fighting League seasons .
-The end of season prizes will be similar to those of Season 2.
-Stardust rewards from rank 1 to rank 3.
-Stardust reward, TM and raid pass from rank 4 to rank 10.
-When you reach rank 10, you will get a new avatar pose.
-If you finish Season 4 at Rank 7 or higher, you will receive an Elite Rapid Attack TM instead of an Elite Charged Attack TM.

GO Fight Night
On Thursday, September 24, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 11:59 pm local time, you can experience the new Flying Cup during the event for a limited time!
characteristics
-The Flying Cup will be available! In this format, only Flying-type Pokémon will be allowed, and the CP limit is 1,500.
-You will be able to complete 20 sets of battles, compared to the five normal sets, for a total of up to 100 battles.
-You will receive double Stardust for winning battles, completing battle sets and ranking up in the GO Fighting League .
– Evolve Pidgeotto (the evolved form of Pidgey) during the event to get a Pidgeot that knows the Tornado movement!
The next new attack will be added to the battle system.
Iron: This Charged Bug-type attack will reduce the opposing Pokémon’s offense. Soon, only Masquerain and Galvantula will be able to learn this move.
The following attacks have been modified in Trainer Battles.
Buzz: This Bug-type charged attack now has a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s defense.
-Nitload: This Fire-type charged attack now deals less damage and will increase the user’s attack.
-Double Lightning: This Bug-type charged attack now has a chance to reduce the opposing Pokémon’s attack and defense.
In addition to these updates to existing attacks, the following Pokémon will be able to learn an attack that it could not previously:
