Ronald Dion DeSantis is an American politician and lawyer. He is serving as the current Governor of the state of Florida after his victory in the 2019 election. Early Life
As a child, Ron was active in various sports and was part of the Little League and participated in their World Series. He attended Dunedin High School where he graduated in 1997 after which he joined Yale University.
He also became an active sportsman there and captain of the varsity baseball team. His studies were centered in history and he will graduate with a B.A. in 2001. He started teaching history at school for a while after which he decided to join Harvard Law School where he obtained his JD in 2005.

Ron became a member of the Reserve Navy and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve Center and his assignment was in Texas. After graduating from the Military Justice School, he started working as a prosecutor and was later promoted to lieutenant in 2006.
He was later transferred to California where he became part of SEAL Team One and began serving in Iraq as this was a temporary requirement. After returning to the US in 2008, he became an assistant US attorney based in Florida.
Through his work, he won several awards including the Advocate General’s Corps of the US Navy Reserve and the Iraq Campaign Award. In 2012, Ron made the bold decision to run at Republican Primary in Florida for his 6th congressional constituency.
As he has always loved the country, he was favored by the majority of voters who won by 39% of the vote. Over the years, he also chaired the National Security Subcommittee. Among the other laws it enacted was the Law Enforcement Act of 2014 which was enacted to clarify the report of the ANC Department of Justice.
Ron has had a strong stance on several topics. In 2013, he announced that he would swear allegiance to any law on global warming that could raise taxes. He also made it clear that he did not approve of abortions or any other promotional law.
In addition, his actions supported the implementation of a Florida-based medical marijuana program. However he made it clear that he was against the legalization of recreational marijuana.
During the epidemic that began in 2020, Ron was criticized for some of his decisions, including the need for proof of vaccination in businesses, schools, and other organizations. However, he noted that no compulsory vaccination program would be accepted in his province.
