The most popular email in Spain is experiencing problems. The Gmail mail server and other widely used Google services, such as Drive or Meet, have been recording intermittent interruptions for several hours in countries around the world, without the technology company being able to offer an explanation for the moment.
“We are continuing to investigate this matter,” says Google on the web where it offers information on the performance of its services and in which this Thursday, from 7.29 am (peninsular time), it reported problems to send emails through Gmail with attached files, as well as with the recordings on its Meet videoconferencing platform.
It also recognized failures to create new files on the Drive platform and to publish messages on its chat service, among other problems, which have also affected services such as Keep, Sites or Voice.
The DownDetector website, which reports drops in the network, points out that the problems are concentrated in several Central European countries, especially in Germany, as well as in the United Kingdom. In Spain the incidence seems to have been lower, but there are also affected users, particularly in Catalonia.
Other countries where the aforementioned problems have been noted are Japan, Australia, India and South Africa, although incidents are practically reported on the five continents, although to a lesser extent in America, where it dawns later.
Google has been publishing updates on the situation since it reported the first problems, but so far it has not been able to offer any clarification, or indicate the approximate time at which it expects to have resolved the incidents.
