Early life
Glenn Youngkin was born on December 9th, 1966 in Richmond, Virginia, United States. He was born to his parents, Ellis and Carroll Wayne Youngkin. His father, Ellis, played basketball at Duke University, and worked in accounting and finance. He and his family moved to Virginia Beach when he was a child.
As for his education, he attended Norfolk Academy where he graduated in 1985. He was really good at basketball while playing for the high school team. Glenn has won numerous high school basketball awards.
Later, he received a basketball scholarship from Rice University where he played four seasons for NCAA Division I with the University basketball team, Rice Owls’ men’s basketball. He graduated in 1990 and attended Harvard Business School where he graduated with an MBA in 1994.
